2 Years!!!

We made it!
2 years.
Crazy that its already been that long.

We decided to go up to the cabin for our anniversary, just like we went up there for our honeymoon.
it. was. awesome.

Here are some pictures of the fun, relaxing weekend that we had.

whoever invented hammocks was a genius.

walks around the ranch

king of the mountain.

a running joke. the only picture we took on our honeymoon was of the covered bridge on the way into the ranch. This was on the way out.

my family has been working on the front of the cabin--making it a fun place to lounge. they started a fire pit---we finished it.

ye old windmill.

Anniversary! We were about to go into dinner in town.

i love you jace!!!

SpOoKy!!

I needed a Halloween wreath.

Jace made fun of me.

He said that i had to have a wreath for every holiday...

uh. duh.

This was so easy, but a bit time consuming. I watched 2 full movies by the time i was done.
Worth it! i love!! I think i may keep adding maybe a spider web in the middle?? i dont know. i'll have to see.

5 years free!

5 years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.
we almost lost her.
she was such a trooper though...she had a double mastectomy, chemo, and radiation treatments.
She was really sick for awhile, but hung in there because she loved us and didnt want to miss out on us growing up.
We are so glad she did.

She gained a new son 2 years ago, a new daughter 1 year ago, and will become a grandma in 1 month!

We have walked the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure for 4 years now
(my wedding interupted one year)

MY MOM IS MY HERO! SHE IS A SURVIVOR!

When all else fails...

With this recall election coming up--tensions are running high.
Families are split between Jerry Lewis and Russel Pearce.

A dear family who were split on this issue asked me to make them a new sign.
One to unite them.

i, of course, obliged.

Be still my heart.
i love this!

Mind bomb.

This week blew my mind.

almost literally.

all over the place.

Last week ended with us having to move out of our apartment for 2 days because our electricity blew! Seriously. Had to call the fire department and everything.

It was pretty awful. Started out with maintenance coming and letting themselves into our apartment while we were still asleep. Refinishing our shower and tub with something that made the whole place smell HORID (strong headaches were a constant companion) for 2 days.

Next up, we had Jaces parents get set apart --that was good, not bad.

We have had roaches investing into our apartment for weeks. I swear i keep killing and cleaning and even had my friend rachel and her husband (Squish Em Pest Control!) over to spray for them. NOTHING WORKED! Found out that upstairs neighbors were nasty and filthy and let roaches live in their house. Now they live in our house. I hate apartments.

So we were going to have to get our apartment bombed. Know what that means? Everything out of cupboards, off floors, out of closets...basically you pack up like you're moving but leave everything in the middle of your rooms. Then you have to put it all back. Without the benefit of moving away.

So in the process of getting the apartment ready, the in-laws left on the mission. Sad and happy.

Been having to move EVERYTHING back...LONG process.

Helped Jamie yesterday by taking a truck and a half of garbage away from the house as shes trying to pack up and clean.

Then this morning we got up at 530 to go run in the Race for the Cure for my mom. Worth it.

Now starts a new week. Here's to hoping its a thousand times better than the last!

No surprises please!
and if its not too much to ask...no roaches either.
thanks.

Recent doings

I found that i had 2 blog posts saved as drafts! and havent gotten them done yet!

blast.

Its hard for me to get into blogging at the moment, we are having such crazy hectic lives that are trying to take over our other "normal" ones! and the fact that i cant blog while at work has definitely put a damper on things...

A quick update

J's parents--
  • are going on a mission!!!! South Dakota! (talk about a change in weather, yikes.) and they leave OCT 6. Yeah, thats like next week.
  • they decided that they wanted to "experience" the holidays with us, so for the past 3 sundays we have had Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • their house is now sold and we have to get them packed up and moved out before they leave on the mish!

J's other family--
  • Josh and Jamie and their kids have a bid in on a house...and since they are living with the in-laws they are hoping to get that taken care of...and SOON!
  • Jeff and Mindy are always busy with projects and hosting things, and gracie is in preschool.
  • Jen and Ken were able to come for Thanksgiving (also the in-laws farewell) and Jen stayed on for Christmas. They are buying a new home in Utah!
My parents--
  • My dad is ward clerk, My mom is relief society president. They are busy bees with helping others in the ward! as well as taking care of a family of 6! and a home! and a needy dog! and a few ridiculous and needy cats! AND a fish that miraculously is still alive!!! Mom has also been trying to get up to the cabin alot more this summer (not as much as she would have liked unfortunately.)
My siblings--
  • Randy broke his foot. And we dont know how. Poor guy is just so breakable--we have to be really careful and mindful of him.
  • Jeff and Melanie are both in school (full time) and working (full time) and about to have a BABY!! (that will be overtime im assuming :) ) Baby Jane Wight will be here the week of Thanksgiving!!! and Melanie's baby shower is next week.
  • Joe is still recovering from his ACL and Meniscus surgery and even though he cant play with the team, joe is still at every practice and football game. He just went to his first guy ask girl dance (and first official date as a 16 year old!) He and his date looked so great!
Husband and Me--
  • WORK!!! We are working alot right now. J is working 2 jobs...and the insurance business is really starting to pick up! He is doing awesome and i'm so proud of him. My work schedule just got changed so now i have 2 full days OFF! I'm really excited about this...our apartment hasnt really been clean for months.
  • Our 2 year anniversary is coming up next month! Already!!! That means i've been blogging for just over 2 years now. CRAZY.
We are super excited about the holidays coming up...and more importantly the weather change that will happen in the next month or so (please please please be next month!) I promise that i'll try and keep this more updated. I know that i also need to start posting pictures or this will become very boring very fast. :)
