I see the light!

I think that maybe, JUST maybe, there is a LIGHT at the end of this sickness tunnel. Its been a long and unpleasant journey (which i would have to venture all train rides might just be...but since i've never been on a train i cant say for SURE). Now that i'm feeling a bit better, i must turn my thoughts and actions into more important things other than medicine, and the wonderous invention called the Vicks Steam Vaporizer (that is totally more amazing than a regular humidifier because its hot, steamy medicine directed to your lungs. downside? it makes the whole house smell like vicks...). Now your thoughts and actions can go to how in the world are you going to clean your apartment...that you cant even see the floor of. IN. ANY. ROOM. fantastic. {insert sarcasm here}
But, yay to feeling better!

SNOT.
"it s'not so bad" is ludicrous! SNOT is evil. Its evil when it gets all clogged up in your head, making you feel all cattywhompous. Its evil when its pouring down your face for no good reason at all. And its evil when its drip-drip-driping out of ONE nostril (the left one. apparently the right one is my gal pal and is too prissy to DARE drip).

In case you cant tell, i have been cursed with a head cold. Darn you cold weather (that i have been praying for because i was sick of melting in NOV) and the evil nasty virus bugs that come with you! ARG.

and yes. being sick turns me into a pirate.

I'm in the middle of some fun projects right now...an ornament wreath, a rosewood (or something like that) wreath and hanging ornaments from the ceiling making our apartment feel all merry and bright. LOVE IT. too bad i am now going to crawl back to the bedroom PAST all my wonderful projects to get all comfy cozey in my jammies and CRAWL back to snuggle in my lovesack with hot chocolate (nectar of the gods). Inspiration

My sister in law, Mindy, has TONS of wonderful ideas. I'm always in awe of her creativity. Well, she made up a list of 30 things she wants to do before shes...30. And that may or may not be next July. So it got me thinking...I have tons of stuff i want to accomplish, and if i had a goal like that (i think she gave herself a year) then i would actually be able to tackle a lot! Well, i still have a little while till i'm 30, so i decided to do 25 things to do before i'm 25. I'm giving myself a year and a half (since i'm almost at my 1/2 birthday). Let me tell you, it was harder to narrow it down to only 25 things! But, here is my list anyways :) Thanks for the idea Minds!

Cockroach fiasco

Story numero uno was about the cockroack fiasco. its a funny one. and everyone gets a kick out of it.

I realize now that i have never written down how J proposed. It was very sweet and romantic. You see...i was in CA with my brother over my bday. I was coming home the day after. J and I dont talk on the phone well...not for long periods of time anyway. Our conversations on the phone at best were 10 min (we're lucky to make it to 3 min now lol). Well, he had been calling me every night and texting me saying how much he missed me and how he was counting down the hours till i got home. I had gotten sick and i was a bit more grumpy than i normally am. Because what i said next was just mean. I told him that he needed to get a hobby. face palm now if you will.

He called me and wanted to pick me up at the airport, but i was bringing back a lot of my brothers luggage so i told him that my family was going to get me. (little did i know that he was trying to get me alone) He is not easily put out though...he showed up at the airport with my parents and later took me to "get a frosty" ... in fountain hills! Long story short, he picked the spot by the lake earlier...took me to it, told me that he loved me and didnt want to spend another day without me and asked me to marry him (while our song was playing on his itouch). I laughed. yes. face palm again. i do every time i tell this story.
and then i said yes. and smootched him.

So. fast forward a year. We've been married for 8 months. and he decided that he wanted to recreate the night he proposed at the lake. What we didnt account for was that it had been a fairly wet summer...and cockroaches are drawn to water...
We arrived at "the spot" only to be hit with the most repugnant smell ever. seriously. a fish must have died and been rotting. gross!
so we moved. and then i saw a cockroach land on our blanket. ew. so i hit it away. and got up to move again. as we are doing this i had a hair come loose and work its way into my shirt. ladies, are you with me in HATING that feeling?!?
anyways i go to grab it only to discover that what i thought was a hair was in fact a cockroach escaping into my bosom!
i had jace flick it off, but it circled back and landed on my tricep! ARG!!! i couldnt handle it. i dropped EVERYTHING i was carrying.

Jace asked me to just move to another spot. We were super close to the parking lot at this point and we had the lights illuminating everything for us. Well it was windy and the wind kept catching our neds krazy sub bag and making me go batty. I finally was like, "dude. what is up with our bag? its like its alive!" poor choice of words andrea. Jace and i looked down only to see that it MOVED. without the aid of wind.
We both screamed. he threw the bag away. and i ran for my car.

Worst part? i still had half of my krazy sub in that bag! EPIC FAIL. arent you glad you arent me?!

6 day slimdown

Jace and I have gained some poundage since we've been married. "Relationship gut" as some would say. And we've decided to take action against that vile high number on our scale. Monday we started a 6 day slimdown. Its a modified version of Atkins...and its only recommended for 6 days to help jump start our dead battery metabolisms. The last time we did this, Jace lost 10 LBS and i only lost 3. Dang boys and how easy it is for them! This time I have lost 7 LBS in 5 days. One more to go! But its an improvment thats for sure! And now i'm making myself go to the gym as often as i can. I'm 3 for 3.

So heres to getting healthy and throwing out my relationship gut!
